The Bicycle Parking Program is a part of the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) Bicycle Program, and responds to inquiries related to:
- identifying the best locations in the public way throughout the City of Chicago for bike racks
- surveying locations requested by the public to determine suitability for bike racks
- arranging installation of bike racks
- damaged or otherwise compromised bike racks
- implementation of bicycle parking-related strategies and objectives from Chicago's Bike 2015 Plan
Abandoned Bikes
The Bicycle Parking Program also responds to inquiries related to abandoned bicycles.

Donating Bikes
The City of Chicago does not accept used or donated bicycles. However, we maintain a list of
organizations and local bike shops that accept used and donated bicycles.
