The Bicycle Parking Program is a part of the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) Bicycle Program, and responds to inquiries related to:

• identifying the best locations in the public way throughout the City of Chicago for bike racks
• surveying locations requested by the public to determine suitability for bike racks
• arranging installation of bike racks
• damaged or otherwise compromised bike racks
• implementation of bicycle parking-related strategies and objectives from Chicago's Bike 2015 Plan

Abandoned Bikes

The Bicycle Parking Program also responds to inquiries related to abandoned bicycles. Find more information about this program.

Donating Bikes

The City of Chicago does not accept used or donated bicycles. However, we maintain a list of organizations and local bike shops that accept used and donated bicycles.

Help with Google Maps

Our website makes extensive use of Google Maps. Google provides a Help Center for learning how to use and navigate maps provided by Google and within the Google Maps interface.
