The CDOT Bicycle Program is committed to maintaining your online privacy. This Privacy Policy pertains only to webpages hosted on the domain name, ChicagoBikes.org, including this Bike Parking website, and does not apply to CDOT Bike Program webpages hosted on CityOfChicago.org, which has its own privacy policy.
- Personal Information
We collect any information you volunteer, either through email or the Bike Parking website. We will not sell, lease, or otherwise distribute the personal information we receive from you. The personally identifying information you volunteer will never be displayed on this website. If you volunteered personally identifying information with your Bike Rack Request and would like it removed from our database, please contact us.
- Security
The personal information you submit through the Bike Rack Request form is transmitted without encryption, possibly allowing an individual to capture the information. This is true for all websites that do not employ "SSL" encryption. You can easily determine which websites use SSL encryption by looking for a small padlock icon or a yellow background address bar. You should always use the latest version of your web browser:

- Computer Information & Cookies
We use Google Analytics to collect use statistics for the ChicagoBikes.org website. Read Google's privacy policy - Google Analytics will put a cookie on your computer; you can block this by disallowing your browser from accepting third-party cookies. The Video pages collect the IP address of the last computer to view the video to compare it to the newest computer to view the video to help eliminate false "views" statistics; in other words every time a video is watched, the existing IP address is replaced and deleted. No other ChicagoBikes.org webpage records IP addresses or information about your computer.

This website is operated and maintained by the City of Chicago Department of Transportation Bicycle Program and/or its consultants as part of the Bike Parking Program and for the purposes of providing better bike parking services to the citizens and bicyclists of Chicago.
- Active Transportation Alliance
This website, its accompanying database, and all the information stored within, is hosted on a server paid for and managed by the Active Transportation Alliance (ActiveTrans), whose IT staff may have access to the information stored in the server.
